To start off my name is Stacey Hill. I am a senior and will be student teaching in fall in the North Colonie School District.. (I can’t wait!). I have a boyfriend who I have been with for five years, and we are currently trying to buy land to put a house on. I have a chihuahua named Patches who I absolutely adore! I love to travel, and my favorite place to go is Las Vegas!

Passions and Obsessions* One of my passions in life is working with children. I have been a nanny for two years for a family with three kids. Growing up I always babysat cousins and siblings, and because of this I think is why I wanted to become a teacher/guidance counselor.

An obsession I think I have is watching the Mets play everynight. Now i love just watching the game, but I must admit that their third baseman is great eye candy and adds in an extra bonus to the game! Watching the games gives me time to relax with my dog and my boyfriend and just kind of appreciate the simplicity of life at the time. Another obsession that i don’t think i could live without is chocolate chip cookies..Yum!!

Hobbies and Pasttimes* During high school I played volleyball all four years! I love volleyball to this day but dont’ get the chance to participate in it as much as I’d like.  One of my hobbies during the winter is snowmobiling. My boyfriend and I have two snowmobiles which we take to Speculator, New York for a week during January.  Other than that I like to cook, bake, and spend as much time traveling as possible!!

I am currently working as a nanny for a family of three children. This job has made me realize my strong points when it comes to working with children. Along with strong points comes weak points and I think as I continue to see the chidlren develop I will help master my weaknesses.  Before I became a nanny, I worked in retail for three years. I worked at Contempo Casuals right up until they closed last year. It was a great job, but i’m glad to be done with it.

I know how to make great mixed drinks! This is a specialty of mine! I also have recently mastered making taco dip, buffalo chicken dip, and a spicy guacamole dip! (Hopefully these will come in handy this summer!)

For my personal essay I was thinking about doing something about traveling. I have been to las vegas many times and I really enjoy the experience of a completely different life style. Other than that I was leaning towards maybe working with children, because this is what I do on a daily basis. I’m kind of stuck on ideas other than that. Hopefully as I continue to think about it I can narrow it down.
